St Kevin’s is a Catholic systemic primary school Kindergarten to Year 6, situated within the Inner Western Region of the Archdiocese of Sydney.

From the time of its foundation in 1925 as a Parish School, St Kevin’s has promoted the Christian values that prompted its establishment.

The school aims to provide a learning environment that is stimulating, appropriate and in line with current educational practices, while at the same time maintaining the best from the past.

From the time of its establishment, the school has emerged as a vibrant Catholic school catering to the diverse needs of the many children who are part of the St Kevin’s Parish Family. From 1925 until 1975 the school was administered by the Sisters of Mercy. The first lay Principal was appointed in 1976. In 2011 we will be investigating how we can keep the Mercy values alive in our school.

The school has an enrolment of approximately 356 students. Classroom teachers are currently supported by a part-time librarian, ESL teacher, reading recovery teacher, special education teacher, special education aide, physical education teacher and music teacher.
